The Sports Photo Guy

I’ve had several opportunities now to use the Tokina 11-16/f2.8 for the main reason I originally got it – as a remote lens for college basketball.  And boy, does it deliver!

Tokina 11-16 on Post Cam

Set at 11mm, I’ve gotten some unusual perspectives with my post-mounted D300.  This cropped and post-processed image (ISO 2000 with NeatImage applied) doesn’t show just how wide this lens can go, but thanks to the D300 you can crop even deeper into the frame with excellent results:

1/640 @ f4, ISO 2200, NeatImage NR

Added to all the other things this lens can do, it’s easy to see why I take this lens everywhere.
