According to Nikon USA’s web site, the new version includes the following features:
Modifications enabled with ver. 1.3.3:
- Support for RAW images captured with the D3 (A and B firmware v1.10 and later), and the “Vignette Control” option enabled, has been added.
- New “Artist, Copyright, and Vignette Control” items have been added to the Camera Settings palette. In addition, the categories displayed in the Camera Settings palette have been changed from “File / Shooting Info / Picture Control / Flash, and GPS” to “File Info / Shooting Info / Picture Control and GPS”. Items in each category have been modified.
- An issue that caused an error to occur with some systems when opening an image saved in TIFF format with LZW compression has been resolved.
- When a folder containing a Dust Off Reference photo was selected from the Dust Off Settings Palette, accessed from “1.Base Adjustments / RAW Adjustments / Dust Off” , for use with a RAW image captured with the D1X or D1H, an alert stating that “No Dust Off reference photo was present” would display, and the Reference Photo could not be used. This issue has been resolved.
- When a white balance settings file, saved with “fine tuning” of the “Calculate Automatically” option in the White Balance settings palette, accessed from “1. Base Adjustments / RAW Adjustments / White Balance”, was applied to another image, the white balance settings were not reflected. This issue has been resolved.
- When Picture COntrolsettings were applied to a RAW image captured with a camera that does not support Picture Control from the Quick Adjustment category in the View NX Camera Settings palette, an the image was then opened in Capture NX, the Picture Control setting in the Picture COntrol settings palette, accessed from 1. Base Adjustments / Camera Adjustments / Picture Control , remainedNon-Picture Control. This issue has been resolved.
- An issue that prevented proper recognition of “Image Dust Off” reference data recorded with the D300, depending upon the computer’s Time Zone setting, has been resolved.
- When the JPEG box was selected in the Choose File Types to Associate with Capture NX dialog with installation of Capture NX, JPEG images could not be uploaded to websites. This issue has been resolved.
As always, the current versions of all Nikon software products can be found on the Nion USA web site. Note that if you do not already have Capture NX v1.3.1 (Mac) or v1.3.0 (Windows) already installed, you will need to first install the full version then apply the updater.

Well, I have the Mac version 1.31 installed on my Macbook Pro and just tried the update. It just gives me a message that the updater can’t find Capture NX on my system.
Anyone else tried?

Success, I got it to work but I had to download the update from the Nikon Canada site. I could not get the download from the Nikon USA site to install.

That’s odd - although perhaps not, since you do appear to be in Canada.
For those wondering, in the Great White North, Nikon’s web site is http://www.nikon.ca and the software download page is at:
