Phottix Kosmo
Chinese accesory maker Phottix has released a combination BL-3 battery chamber cover and EN-EL4a replacement, a single unit called the Kosmo, specifically for the MB-D10 grip. I’ve added its details to the D300 Battery Compatibility article.

I have used the combo of the Kosmo with the MD-B10 grip with excellent results. The D300 thinks it is Nikon unit, and taking 1600 pictures at 8fps (no VR, no flash) with a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 used less than 10% of the battery.

Unfortunately, the Kosmo seems to have been discontinued.
